Phi Kappa Phi Launch!
Sunflower just celebrated it's annual Phi Kappa Phi Young Honors Society Launch for this year. We are happy to announce we have students in all three levels this year. The event kicked off on Monday, October 5th, with over 70 students in 4th, 5th and 6th grade. The GATE teachers prepared a collaborative and interactive program that had the students delving into our Big Question: How do people overcome adversity?
Our theme this year focuses on several levels the way people confront adversity and what human characteristics are most successful when dealing with difficult situations.
The students are currently focusing on 4 main types of resilience that can be useful to help human beings cope with adversity.
